Heightscream lives in Portland and supports BLM. Tilly was seen on twitter driving downtown in support of BLM. Free ice cream was given out and individuals were very respectful and non-violent. It was probably the first protest for Tilly in the last 34 years but won’t be the last. She did very well, cruised around, gave out ice cream and was on twitter. Nice picture downtown.
We just returned from the best community party ever!! It was hosted by neighbor Breylan Deal-Eriksen. It was held in the city of Maywood Park which is a beautiful area in metro Portland and attended by at least 100 friendly neighbors!! Kudos to Breylan for bringing the community together over ice cream.
The handmade Ruby Jewels were a big hit followed closely by Choco Tacos, Sonic and Sponge Bobs. Everyone wore a mask. Thank you Breylan!!
Ice cream face masks are a new trend for Heightscream. Our owner and co-owners are proud to show off their ice cream flavors and be socially responsible.
It has been very challenging but the joy of ice cream makes it very rewarding. We are enjoying the warm weather with ice cream printed face masks, gloves and plexiglass. We have a cool new visa stick to minimize contact. We are very serious about the Covid pandemic but we are also helping out ones ice cream need. Masks are now required. We tried to bolt a mask on bolty the dog and you can guess what happened. No go. He settled for a tie and looks very dapper and well represents ice cream. The owners of Heightscream use masks, hand sanitizer and a bit of plexiglass plus a cool way for VISA cards. Bolt is having a great time with his new look which he found while browsing at Hip Hound here in Portland. A very great and fun Fathers day Sunday. We were lucky enough to provide the ice cream for a wonderful group after their Sunday Service. The bomb pops and ice cream treats were huge hits, the sun was shining and smiles all around.
Tilly had a great time at Avamere in Lake Oswego. The masks, gloves and plexiglass are all in place and although unable to see our smiles, we had a great time. The residents loved the ice cream and we really enjoyed playing the music and bringing out the old school treats. More than one resident told us it was a memory of being a child. Great fun and the sun came out for a bit as well.
